Coastal Speech Therapy offers in-clinic, mobile and online (telehealth) speech therapy services to preschool kids, school children, adults, and seniors. We seek to support our clients to develop core skills to help them better thrive in their relationships and interactions with others. Coastal Speech Therapy strives to offer developmentally appropriate therapy that will positively impact the lives of the individuals we serve. We take seriously every family’s uniqueness while we strive to enhance the confidence to communicate in our clients’ lives.

Our practice welcomes all clients from the Illawarra region. We are very focused on servicing our local area in Port Kembla, Wollongong and surrounding suburbs.

Meet Your Therapist: Nicole Eastman (MSPA CPSP, MSP, BSpHLSc)

Nicole Eastman - Speech Pathologist

Nicole was born and raised on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and served her local community for 3 years while she ran her business in the Northern Beaches. Having relocated to Wollongong, Nicole is passionate to continue her goal of supporting her local community at her Port Kembla clinic. Nicole is bilingual, speaking both English and Armenian.

Nicole is dedicated to providing services to her clients that makes them feel heard, listened to and involved in the therapy process. She seeks to prioritise the needs and goals of her clients and families, using a collaborative approach to therapy. This approach seeks to make families and clients the key facilitators of their own therapy. Nicole values the need for providing Speech Pathology services that are accessible and comfortable for clients and families in their own homes, pre-schools, workplaces or community settings.

Nicole has obtained a Master of Speech Pathology at The University of Technology, Sydney (MSP), as well as a Bachelor of Speech, Hearing and Language Sciences at Macquarie University (BSpHLSc). She is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist of Speech Pathology Australia (MSPA CPSP).

Nicole has experience working with a range of diagnoses and needs, including speech sounds (articulation), receptive (understanding) and expressive (the meaning, structure and use of words and sentences) language, communication, spelling and writing, multimodal communication needs (AAC or MAAC), fluency (stuttering), Aphasia, Alexia, Cerebral Ataxia, Cleft Palate, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Cerebral Palsy. She has worked with clients ranging from 2 years up to the elderly, been trained in the Hanen Program and Comprehensive Program at The Australian Stuttering Research Centre (ASRC), The Sounds Write literacy program and the More Than Words – Hanen Program.

Nicole has a specific interest in communication areas such as fluency (stuttering), speech (articulation), literacy (reading, spelling and writing) and social skills in clients of all ages.
